Tips for Healthy Smiles

Learning good habits early makes for a lifetime of happy smiles. We love teaching our young patients how to care for their teeth in a fun and easy way!

Gentle, Routine Brushing

Brush twice a day for two minutes using a soft-bristled brush to keep those tiny teeth shining bright.

Brushing can look different every night and can include different types of toothbrushes. Sometimes using a fun song or dance can help your child reach the recommended 2 minutes of brushing time suggested by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Daily Flossing

Flossing once a day helps reach the places a toothbrush can't, keeping the gaps between teeth clean and healthy.

Smart Snacking

Choose crunchy fruits and veggies like apples and carrots. They act like natural toothbrushes for a stronger smile.

Preventative Visits

Schedule a gentle pediatric dental exam and cleaning every six months to ensure your child’s teeth stay bright and healthy.

In some instances, we may recommend more frequent visits at three or fourth month intervals based on your little one’s unique sensory needs, cavity risk, tartar/plaque buildup or gum health.

Prevention saves overall cost and creates opportunities for positive feedback and confidence building!
